About The Position

General Purpose of Position Responsible for interacting, instructing and engaging families staying at Dallas LIFE. Major Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates all children’s public school as well as Day Care registration and enrollment. Coordinates all school uniforms, backpacks and distribution of school supplies. Coordinates, approves, and organizes all infant donations such as strollers and car seat. Assists with scheduling, planning and hosting of children’s volunteer recognition events. Coordinates back to school, summer camp and Christmas give-a-way programs. Coordinates monthly children’s birthday parties at DL. Oversees the Effective Parenting class. Stays abreast of needs, disruptions, and evictions related to families at Dallas LIFE. This position works closely with the departments that oversee family members. Reports to the Senior Director of Programs. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Senior Director of Programs and the Executive Director. Skills and Abilities Able to analyze and problem-solve difficult or complex circumstances. Able to educate, confront, challenge, and correct when circumstances necessitate. Able to resource, care, support, and encourage when circumstances necessitate. Must possess a patient and caring burden for the homeless and the lost. Strong oral and written communication abilities with proficient typing and computer skills. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. Education and/or Training College Education strongly preferred. Completion of recommended Dallas LIFE training.
