About The Position

Using evidence based practice to enhance outcomes Senior level role|full time|permanent|based at Frankston A model built on practice elements; motivational interviewing, communication & goal setting Your role: The Future Pathways program is an innovative approach built on practice elements such as motivational interviewing, communication skills building and goal setting to respond to identified needs and achieve real and demonstrable outcomes. Working collaboratively, the team seek to address key intersectionality issues with families, children and young people (e.g. substance use, mental illness, low income, social isolation) as identified by each regional FPR Response. Key deliverables: The program will equip parents with a greater knowledge about their children’s development. Assist in developing parenting strategies they can use to the best meet the development needs. The program aims to strengthen parenting capacity to ensure child health, safety and developmental outcomes are being met. Requirements

  • Experience working with high needs complex families
  • Using a child focused family-centred approach
  • Understanding theoretical approaches (i.e., motivational interviewing and social inclusion)
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions
  • Experience conducting risk and needs assessments
  • The ability to perform work outside of standard office hours to service the needs of clients
