About The Position

We are seeking a Family Pathways Director to join our Family Pathways Program. As a Family Pathways Director, you will Shine Hope as you provide support, case management and referral services for single parents and their children living at Family Pathways. Develop and manage professional resources to provide therapeutic and programmatic services for program participants/program. Ensure all applicable federal state, and local standards and guidelines are met. Join our team and shine hope in the lives of others!

Requirements

  • Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge. Involves ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions dealing with abstract variables.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner’s insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
  • Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
  • Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human service field preferred; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years prior related experience required; prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively implement the Family Pathways program model to meet the educational, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of clients/families, as outlined in each client’s self-sufficiency plan.
  • Assist with the design and coordination of supportive services for families.
  • Interview applicants to determine admission for residency at Family Pathways based on eligibility requirements.
  • Implement a self-sufficiency contract with clients. Complete a needs assessment and develop educational, physical, spiritual, and psychological goals with residents. Monitor progress to determine continued eligibility in the program. Review goals and assess needs regularly and at the end of each semester.
  • Facilitate a lease agreement with residents according to local program guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community and government agencies involved with provision of supportive services to the residents.
  • Provide or facilitate supportive services and educational programs using approved curriculum to assist residents in attaining their goal of self-sufficiency. Serve as an advocate for clients.
  • Provide ongoing family coaching, information and referral services to families participating in the program. Maintain regular contact with families through in office and/or home visits, group activities/meetings, phone calls, emails or texts at least monthly and generally more often.
  • Collect or ensure payment of rent according to program and local procedures by the due date each month. Track resident payments and balances.
  • Work a flexible schedule to provide services to residents. Work nights and weekends as needed.
