About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician to join our Family Medicine Residency Program faculty team. This position is based in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic located in Belpre. The selected candidate will play an integral role in resident education, mentorship, curriculum development, and the overall success of the residency program. The faculty physician will serve as a clinical preceptor, advisor, and mentor to residents while helping to foster an engaging, supportive, and academically rigorous learning environment. This role also includes participation in program committees, resident recruitment, faculty development, and other activities essential to the ongoing growth and success of the residency program. The Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty position: Serves as a clinical preceptor in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic Provides advising and mentorship to Family Medicine residents Assists with curriculum development and continuous program improvement Supports and participates in scholarly activity initiatives Presents and oversees resident didactics, shared among faculty members Participates as a member of the Clinical Competency Committee, including two meetings annually Participates as a member of the Program Evaluation Committee, including two meetings annually Serves on additional residency-related committees as needed Participates in resident orientation during the last week of June each year Participates in residency candidate interviews during October, November, and December, with approximately one interview date per week; participation responsibilities are shared among faculty Attends annual residency graduation activities each June Participates in online faculty development webinars approximately 2-4 times annually during lunchtime Performs other duties as needed, including occasional meetings related to resident performance or disciplinary matters

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine required
  • Active or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Ohio required
  • Demonstrated interest in medical education, resident teaching, and mentorship
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary faculty team
  • Commitment to resident development, program excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to participate in required meetings, orientation, interviews, and residency events throughout the year
