About The Position

Envision Education seeks a Family Community and Enrollment Coordinator to organize and coordinate family partnerships and student enrollment outreach for the 26-27 School Year. The Family Community and Enrollment Coordinator will create and implement systems to bring in parents and community partners to support student attendance, achievement, career exploration, and college readiness. The position will collaborate closely with the Office Manager, Senior Director of Advancement, and school Administration, and report to the Principal. Our mission is to transform the lives of students - especially those who will be the first in their families to attend college - by preparing them for success in college, career, and life. Envision Education currently operates four small schools in San Francisco, Oakland, and Hayward, as well as a national educational consulting firm called Envision Learning Partners. Requirements

  • Required: 1+ years experience with community and/or school site experience
  • Once hired, continuous current California residency.
  • Demonstrated success working with parents and families, especially Black, African American, Latino/a/x, and immigrant families.
  • Receptiveness to feedback and desire to continuously improve to meet outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Bilingual Spanish and English
  • Preferred: A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school administration to coordinate events in English and Spanish that bring parents and family members into the school (including but not limited to: Family Teacher Council, Back To School Night, Exhibition events, Orientations, Student Led Conferences, etc.).
  • Collaborate with school administration to lead all parent/family communication
  • Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of parent engagement strategies and activities.
  • Plan and host school-based events with staff to increase student family engagement, retain current students, and build the school’s brand in the community
  • Lead student recruitment efforts at feeder schools (includes ongoing communication)
  • Plan and host visiting student groups and individual students and students’ families
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students’ families interested in applying/enrolling during the school year
  • Manage SchoolMint Enrollment platform
  • Make personalized phone calls to accepted students’ families in Spanish and English
  • Ensure students’ families complete enrollment/registration paperwork
  • Complete community-based student recruitment runs
  • Support student retention and re-enrollment efforts
  • Support the school administration to implement student support plans for students outside the sphere of success.
  • Communicate student progress with all relevant stakeholders (students, staff, teachers, parents, coaches, counselors, etc.)
  • Develop and lead youth leadership opportunities (including but not limited to: student ambassadors and community event planning and hosting, student clubs and activities).
  • Collaborate with school administration to act as the point person for agencies and programs interested in partnering with Envision, and help to broker new partnerships that are aligned with school mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with the College Advisor in securing work-based learning opportunities and connections.
  • Represent the school, its mission and vision, at public community events.
  • Other Duties as Assigned
