About The Position

The Gulfstream Human Factors Engineering (HFE) team works to ensure that Gulfstream's product development process follows a human-centered design approach. The team applies data-driven knowledge about the user's physical and cognitive capabilities and limitations to generate design requirements. These requirements are validated through structured evaluation and support regulatory compliance and certification. The goal of HFE is to ensure Gulfstream's products are safe, easy to use, easy to maintain, maximize total system performance, and are preferred by customers. On any given day, you may: Perform trade studies on system design concepts and present human factors requirement recommendations to multidisciplinary design teams. Assist in the design of part task simulation evaluations for detailed design requirement definition using software and physical mockups, or predictive modeling tools. Apply appropriate data analysis methods (descriptive or inferential statistics). Assist in the preparation, development, and execution of part task and/or simulator plans that utilize data measurement techniques such as rating scales, questionnaires, and performance measurement calculation. Document evaluations in final engineering reports. Assist with validation and verification of requirements. Utilize industry and/or regulatory committee design guidance and/or regulations to support design aspects.
