About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Applications Engineer (FAE) specializing in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs). In this role, you will be the technical expert and trusted advisor to our customers, providing in-depth support for FPGA-based solutions. You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to drive design wins and ensure customer success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FPGA design, development, and customer-facing technical roles.
  • Deep understanding of FPGA architectures, design tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus, Libero), and hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog).
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces, embedded processors, and system-level integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SoC FPGAs, security features, and advanced timing closure techniques.
  • Familiarity with software development for embedded systems (C/C++).
  • Prior experience in a Field Applications Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, providing expert guidance on FPGA architectures, design methodologies, and implementation strategies.
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including product presentations, technical training, and hands-on demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements, propose optimal FPGA solutions, and assist in system-level design and integration.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, offering timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work with internal engineering and product management teams to relay customer feedback and influence future product development.
  • Develop and deliver technical collateral such as application notes, reference designs, and white papers.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products in the FPGA space.
  • Mentor and support junior FAEs and other technical staff as needed.
