Altera Sales team is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on FPGA Application Engineer to join our team! As a FPGA Application Engineer, you will provide technical support to Altera customers and sales teams in the areas of Transceivers, PCIe, Ethernet, and/or External Memory Interfaces. You will be responsible for helping resolve challenging customer issues and developing proactive collateral to make our customers successful using Altera products. In this role, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Work closely with field engineering and customer design teams, including on-site technical support, to assist in design and verification of high-performance FPGAs using Intel and third-party design software (e.g. Quartus, ModelSim). Perform design evaluations and recommend strategies to optimize designs for important design opportunities. Create example designs and reference designs to demonstrate the usage of Intel products. Develop technical collateral and presentations for internal and external audiences. Evaluate new software/IP and provide feedback to developers to improve the quality of Intel tools, IP, and methodologies. Anticipate future customer requirements and contribute to product planning and definition of product enhancements.
