The Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering (www.uvu.edu/cet/mce) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation systems or traffic engineering to begin August 2026. The civil engineering faculty member develops and teaches undergraduate courses, such as pre-engineering courses, seminar courses, core civil engineering courses, laboratory courses, open-ended design courses, and electives in their respective specialty area. The faculty member engages in scholarly activities that contribute to the mission of the university, department, and profession. In addition, the faculty provides service at the department, college, and university levels and in professional organizations. Utah Valley University places a strong emphasis on teaching. Faculty members are expected to develop a learning environment and activities that help students achieve their learning objectives.
