About The Position

The Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time faculty member with expertise in General Neurology and Headache Medicine to join their dynamic team at the KUMC Legacy campus. This position supports the mission of delivering the highest quality patient care while fostering education and research opportunities. The faculty member will provide comprehensive care for patients with general neurological disorders and headache conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings, offering a unique opportunity to blend clinical practice with teaching and scholarly activities in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Kansas.
  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Neurology.
  • Completion of a neurology residency training.
  • Communication Skills

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with general neurological conditions.
  • Provide care in general neurology clinics and on occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit.
  • Supervise, teach, and provide occasional lectures to neurology medical students, residents, and fellows to include supervising residents in the inpatient hospital service, and in the outpatient neurology clinic.
  • Engage in clinical research, including clinical trials, and contribute to scholarly publications as desired
