About The Position

As the Factory Quality Manager, you are responsible for the daily operation of Nestlé Purina PetCare’s canned Quality Assurance program in Allentown, PA. In this role you will oversee the food safety, sanitation, and pest control program for the grounds, wet plant, and warehouse. The QA Manager monitors all records to ensure compliance with product specifications. You will prepare and communicate Quality Assurance information and data for all levels of management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or related scientific discipline
5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in manufacturing, production, military or related environment
2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, military or related environment

Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Manage strategic planning and daily operation of the factory QA department
Coach, develop, and mentor the QA team
Lead the internal and external factory audit programs to verify adherence to certification standards, regulatory requirements, product and process specifications
Review, maintain, and enhance factory QA resources to support personnel training and competency development, food safety, and quality management systems
Adhere to ISO requirements and continually monitor external standards to inform internal strategy
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistent application of quality standards
Manage Pest Control Program by monitoring and application of all chemicals, insecticides, rodenticides, fungicides and all fumigants
Drive the quality pillar in support of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) for the factory
