About The Position

The Factory Engineering Manager will manage and oversee a team of approximately 200 people to meet short- and long-term production goals and customer expectations. Responsible for Safety, Quality, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Production, Maintenance and all Operations Administration. As a member of the management team, this position will be responsible for supporting additional operational projects and financial metrics as needed. This position is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, required with relevant experience, and:
  • 10-15 years proven managerial and leadership experience in technical/production related areas. Includes min 2-3 years’ experience handling similar Factory or large Unit with good performance and delivery record.
  • Experience with manufacturing MRP / ERP systems
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, forecasting, performance and output of the unit, including safety, financial (P3), quality, delivery, cost and people
  • Establish KPI targets and management processes assure accountability throughout each level of the factory and report out and drive awareness throughout the team, to include: Safety – Culture, Policies, Compliance Quality – Processes, Best Practices, NCs, Warranty Delivery – Forecasting, OTD, Supply Chain Cost – COGS, Purchasing, Payroll, Expenses
  • Partners closely with Sales to effectively support the growth of the business and needs of the customer
  • Responsible for People Development and Succession Planning
  • Responsible for maintaining headcount budget and recruitment tasks as needed
  • Participate in the creation of the Operational Plan including resource planning, investments, supply chain, processes and continuous improvements.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Establish regular and/or daily check ins with the unit manager and peers.
  • Maintain a presence on the shop floor and engage in daily activities
  • Support Problem Solving & Improvement activities
  • Secure Standardized Work & SOP’s (Standard Operating Practices)
  • Champion, secure & communicate ALPS (Alfa Laval Production System) Lean Six Sigma / 5S and other Operations initiative in the unit.
  • Communicate standards, perform audits and support the factory.
  • Leads continuous improvement activities to improve safety, throughput and cost to include automation, robotics, process/procedure and industrialization.
  • Involvement in new product development and giving input to R&D, particularly for quality, cost-out and manufacturability improvements
  • Plan and manage maintenance activities and facility management for the site
