About The Position
The YMCA is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Maintenance Staff. As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From ensuring equipment is in top condition to keeping our facilities spotless, your work will directly contribute to the well-being and experience of our community. The Central Branch YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive part-time Facility Support Assistant person to join our team to perform janitorial duties (ie. bathrooms, windows, floors, trash, detail cleaning, etc.) that maintain a clean environment and freshly stocked facility.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age.
- This position requires a male staff member, as duties include towel collection and cleaning in the Men’s Health Center.
- Ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize locker rooms and other assigned areas of the building.
- Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
- Perform various duties such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, reporting mechanical issues, snow removal, and maintaining entrances and staff offices.
- As a member of the maintenance team you should build relationships with members, support all staff, be positive, friendly, and helpful
- Clean locker rooms and collect towels.
