Based in Westminster Colorado, this incredible team is looking for a detail-oriented and trustworthy Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and maintain our facility’s security program in compliance with U.S. government regulations. This role is ideal for a security professional with experience in classified environments who is looking for a flexible schedule while ensuring the integrity of our security operations. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain SCI.
  • 5+ years of experience as an FSO or in a similar industrial security role
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Title 10 (Armed Forces authorities) and Title 50 (Intelligence authorities), with ability to apply statutory requirements to daily security operations.
  • Experience coordinating with DoD and Intelligence Community stakeholders to ensure compliance with both Title 10 and Title 50 mission requirements.
  • Proven track record in the planning, design, and build‑out of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), including adherence to IC Tech Specs for ICD/ICS 705 standards.
  • Ability to manage SCIF accreditation process end‑to-end: from initial design review, through construction oversight, to final inspection and approval.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing physical security systems (access controls, intrusion detection, TEMPEST considerations) aligned with federal requirements.
  • Strong background in liaising with government security officials (DSS/DCSA, DIA, NSA) during facility construction and accreditation.
  • Capable of translating regulatory requirements into operational procedures, ensuring both compliance and mission readiness.
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, DISS, e-QIP, and NISS systems
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of FSO certification training (e.g., CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities)
  • Experience supporting DoD or IC contracts
  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and export compliance is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the facility’s security program in accordance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements
  • Work within DISS and NISS Government databases
  • Manage Receipt/dispatch of classified material
  • Manage personnel security clearances (PCLs), including initiation, tracking, and periodic reinvestigations
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings
  • Lead a strong security education training and awareness program
  • Provide support for classified meetings
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date security documentation, including SF-86s, DD254s, and visit authorizations
  • Interface with government agencies (e.g., DCSA) and respond to audits, inspections, and inquiries
  • Oversee classified material control, including storage, transmission, and destruction
  • Monitor compliance with access control procedures, visitor logs, and physical security measures
  • Investigate and report security violations or suspicious activities
  • Stay current on changes to security regulations and implement updates as needed
  • Lead and audit the security program for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and Sensitive Information
