About The Position

As FSO, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a busy, complex facility security program, ensuring compliance with government regulations, corporate policies, and industry best practices. You will be the primary point of contact for all security matters, working closely with leadership to safeguard sensitive information and assets, and maintain a secure working environment.

Requirements

  • Current Facility Security Officer (FSO) for Possessing Facilities Certification, with in-depth knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM, DCSA, and other federal security regulations.
  • Previous industrial security experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and minimum active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access.
  • Practical knowledge of and experience with eAPP, NBIS, NISS, and DISS.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years’ related work experience.
  • Proven experience in managing facility security operations in the contractor community.
  • Strong understanding of security clearance processes and personnel security programs.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective security strategies.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and people skills. You should be able to build high-trust partnerships with management and other within the security structure.
  • Self-starter able to take initiative within a fast paced, agile environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage ambiguity and multi-task on a variety of initiatives.

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Previous Industrial Security FSO or AFSO experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and rapid pace of busy security program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the facility security program, ensuring compliance with the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements, and other government and company security policies and procedures.
  • Administer and monitor personnel security clearances and visit requests, access control systems, and visitor logs, ensuring that all necessary protocols are followed.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage security incidents, investigations, and resolve security violations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide training and guidance to facility staff on security procedures, reporting, and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, contractors, and other security personnel regarding facility security issues.
  • Ensure the proper classification, safeguarding, and destruction of classified information in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Provide security oversight for classified work areas.
  • Interfacing directly with program management to address security items specific to each program/contract
  • Stay up to date with security trends, emerging threats, and regulatory changes to ensure the facility's security program remains compliant and robust.
