About The Position

The Facility Operator is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. Operators actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection, while keeping in constant contact with customers and demonstrating excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service. The Stanley Facility is a fast paced and exciting facility to learn and GROW in. Invest in your future with industry leading benefits package and savings plans. This is a 7 on 7 off shift of 12 hours, rotating between days and nights at our Stanley Water Disposal Facility. The starting wage for this role is $28.15+, with eligibility for additional allowances.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
  • A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
  • Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholders
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in waste processing, oil treating, or water injection is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge, and loaders is considered an asset.
  • Experience with various plant processes, including safety operations, oil treating and blending, waste processing, and water disposal is considered an asset.
  • Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG

Responsibilities

  • Plant safety (i.e. ensuring that each operation is following SOP’s and safety work procedures, SWP permitting, Hazard Assessments and iTrak items are entered in a timely manner)
  • Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water & vac trucks (paper trail)
  • Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance
  • Conducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations
  • Conducting daily, weekly and monthly plant checks
  • Performing general cleaning duties throughout the day
