About The Position

The Facilities Worker II position plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. This position is responsible for the daily cleaning, upkeep, and safety monitoring of college facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.

Requirements

Prior custodial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, classrooms, and other high-use areas daily.
Replenish restroom and custodial supplies as needed.
Gather, empty, and properly dispose of trash and recycling in designated locations.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in both carpeted and non-carpeted areas.
Dust, clean, and sanitize furniture, fixtures, and surfaces as directed.
Clean windows (to a safe and accessible height).
Maintain cleanliness of entryways, sidewalks, and porches.
Spot-clean spills and stains promptly.
Monitor building safety and security during routine duties.
Perform seasonal or special cleaning projects as assigned.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
