About The Position
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Technician to support maintenance operations within a clean, air-conditioned distribution center in Plainfield, IN. This role is responsible for troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining overall facility functionality.
Requirements
- 1+ year of facilities or industrial maintenance experience (distribution center preferred)
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong attendance and work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Comfortable working at heights up to 45 feet
- Ability to work in cold environments when required
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Basic computer, math, and reading skills
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Valid driver’s license required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot conveyors, stretch wrappers, and carton erectors
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime
- Perform general facility repairs (patching, painting, hardware, etc.)
- Assist with facility cleanliness and grounds upkeep
- Support additional maintenance and facility-related tasks as needed
