About The Position

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team in an exciting, fast-paced entertainment industry. The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, equipment, and associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property. This role also involves assisting with maintenance on the Race Track, performing preventive maintenance for building upkeep and cleanliness, and supporting exterior grounds activities such as snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, and parking garage maintenance. The technician will also support sanitation processes, perform painting and structural repairs, and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, water distribution, fire suppression, and sewerage facilities. Key responsibilities include accountability for OSHA compliance, active participation in safety compliance, and monitoring controls to ensure adherence to federal, state, corporate, and property laws. The position requires effective and positive interaction across departments and a team-player attitude. Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume and distance
  • Possess ability to operate an adding machine
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
  • Must be drug free

Responsibilities

  • Performs scheduled and nonscheduled repair, maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, equipment and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property
  • Assist in maintenance related items on Race Track, when needed
  • Performs preventive maintenance in conjunction with all building maintenance and/or cleanliness related items
  • Submits requests for expenditures associated with repairs, upkeep, and improvement to the Manager of Facilities
  • Directly or indirectly supports all exterior grounds activities, including snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, the parking garage and other exterior area needs
  • Supports all sanitation processes and procedures including rodent and pest control
  • Performs painting, structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, wallpaper and treatments, and furnishings of buildings
  • Directly or indirectly supports the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and water distribution, including fire suppression and sewerage facilities, fresh water pumping station
  • Accountable for OSHA compliance at Hollywood Gaming
  • Will be an active participant of Safety compliance
  • Implements and monitors controls designed to assure full compliance with all federal, state, corporate and property laws, policies and/or mandates
  • Must be able to interact effectively and positively across departmental lines
  • Must be a team player
  • Monitor control systems for building and related water system
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned
