Facilities Support Specialist- JLL What this job involves: As a Facilities Support Specialist, you will be the backbone of our client's daily operations, ensuring the building is a welcoming, functional, and safe environment for everyone. Your role is hands-on, focusing on maintaining common areas, managing essential supplies, and supporting all site services to create a seamless workplace experience. What your day-to-day will look like: Conduct regular building walkthroughs to proactively identify and address maintenance, safety, or janitorial needs. Manage all kitchen and amenity services, including restocking coffee, tea, snacks, and beverage stations, and maintaining the cleanliness of these high-traffic areas. Oversee inventory and place orders for all facility supplies, from office and mailroom essentials to items for our amenity spaces. Provide direct support for meetings and events, including room configurations, equipment setup, and post-event tear down. Serve as a key point of contact for service resolution, submitting and tracking work tickets for building and equipment issues and coordinating repairs. Perform routine weekly and monthly safety and maintenance checks, including inspecting fire extinguishers, IDF closets, and printer functionality. Manage various site-specific responsibilities, such as flag replacement, changing batteries in security readers, and administering recycling programs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a facilities, hospitality, or similar hands-on support role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • A proactive and independent work style, paired with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to be active throughout the day and lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using ticketing systems or facility management software (CMMS), demonstrating an ability to embrace more innovative ways of working.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications
  • Familiarity with coordinating vendors and managing procurement processes.
  • Basic knowledge of light maintenance tasks.
