About The Position

Assist with overseeing the maintenance of Plymouth Harbor’s infrastructure, including the repair of all building functions, grounds, equipment, and appliances, and daily supervision of the Maintenance Department staff, outside contractors, and vendors for all maintenance projects. Manage HVAC controls and oversee maintenance of cooling towers, chillers, emergency generators, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and elevators. Review MEP permit plans, conduct quality assurance inspections, collaborate on budgets and maintenance plans, supervise maintenance staff, troubleshoot various systems, assist with routine repairs, conduct visual inspections, perform performance appraisals of Maintenance staff, and manage painting projects. Preventive maintenance on appliances, purchasing supplies, conducting room audits, responding to emergencies, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Engineering field, or foreign equivalent
  • Two years of experience working in a skilled nursing environment with HVAC systems
  • Operating Notifier Fire Alarm Systems
  • Operating Trane Tracer
  • Working in general contracting, appliance repair, fire safety, and flood mitigation
  • Little local travel required less than 5% of the time in Sarasota County
  • Requires a Trane Certificate in Fans in Air-Handling Systems
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Candidates must complete a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as a condition of employment
