FACILITIES SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES: Track and assign facilities requests through Jira to maintenance technicians Maintain interior office and factory cleanliness Organize office cleanups Plan, set up, and execute events for VIPs, vendors, and internal staff Recommend move plans and help with office relocations Perform job walks with key business unit managers and supervisors Work with the purchasing department to ensure vendors are approved, vetted, and insured Help support and manage campus services such as the bike program, laundry program, and office supplies Assist with badging, ITAR, NDA requirements, and safety training Create RFPOs, and assist the manager with furniture and vendor selection Track purchase orders, weekly reports, and project schedules and statuses Meet with key SpaceX end users and establish the scope of work Assist the Facilities manager(s) in all aspects of project implementation as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years of experience in managing facilities vendors, contract management
  • 3+ years of experience in managing facilities vendors, contract management, or shipping and operational logistics

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with managing commercial, office, or industrial facilities
  • Familiar with space planning procedures and operations
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications; ability to easily navigate through different computer software programs
  • Ability to create and update RFPOs and facilities work orders in an ERP software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to make independent judgments with limited information
  • Strong communication skills for relaying data (verbally and in-writing) between other employees, vendors, and customers
  • Able to read and understand basic floor plans

Responsibilities
