About The Position

The Data Center Facilities Specialist is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and documentation of data center operations and associated mission-critical infrastructure. This role ensures effective oversight of contractor activities and maintenance practices to maintain operational integrity and energy efficiency.

Competent in PC skills and maintenance tools.
2+ years in a mission-critical facility is a plus.
Trade certifications (HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical) preferred.
Military training or technical certifications desired.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage critical equipment for routine and emergency services, including HVAC, plumbing, chillers, and fire detection systems.
Conduct inspections and recommend improvements for building and mechanical systems.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for emergency response.
Perform daily inspections to ensure site integrity.
Coordinate contractor services for operations, maintenance, and construction.
Maintain infrastructure per manufacturer recommendations and company standards.
Develop MOP documents and prepare technical documentation.
Interface with building management systems to ensure operational efficiencies.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships for equipment repair and maintenance.
Provide oversight for assigned projects, directing project teams and contractors.
Maintain and repair facility structures, equipment, and grounds.
Perform skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting.
Support project owners on high complexity assignments.
Coordinate small projects and perform small electrical repairs.
Work on-call shifts as needed.
