About The Position

The Data Center Facilities Specialist is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and documentation of data center operations and associated mission-critical infrastructure. This role ensures effective oversight of contractor activities and maintenance practices to maintain operational integrity and energy efficiency.

Requirements

  • General maintenance repair knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Competent in PC skills and maintenance tools.
  • 2+ years in a mission-critical facility is a plus.
  • Trade certifications (HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical) preferred.
  • Military training or technical certifications desired.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage critical equipment for routine and emergency services, including HVAC, plumbing, chillers, and fire detection systems.
  • Conduct inspections and recommend improvements for building and mechanical systems.
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for emergency response.
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure site integrity.
  • Coordinate contractor services for operations, maintenance, and construction.
  • Maintain infrastructure per manufacturer recommendations and company standards.
  • Develop MOP documents and prepare technical documentation.
  • Interface with building management systems to ensure operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Provide oversight for assigned projects, directing project teams and contractors.
  • Maintain and repair facility structures, equipment, and grounds.
  • Perform skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting.
  • Support project owners on high complexity assignments.
  • Coordinate small projects and perform small electrical repairs.
  • Work on-call shifts as needed.
