About The Position
Are you interested in an exciting and challenging opportunity to manage design and construction for transit capital projects that support 238,000 residents across a 26 square mile urban community, located directly across the Potomac River from Washington D.C.? The Facilities Design and Construction Bureau of the Department of Environmental Services (DES) [https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DES] is seeking a motivated Facilities Project Specialist (Transit) with progressively complex project management experience to manage capital improvements such as bus operations and maintenance facilities, transit stations, and WMATA Metrorail elevator and tunnel entrances. This Specialist will manage design, new construction, and renovation of County and WMATA transit facilities from conceptual design through project turnover and warranty periods.
