About The Position

ChildServe is looking for a Facilities Operations Manager to lead key construction, renovation, and facility support functions across all locations. This role oversees capital projects, call center operations, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) coordination while ensuring efficient, well‑maintained environments. Working closely with the Director of Facilities Operations, internal partners, and external vendors, the position ensures projects and services are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with organizational standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, CMS requirements, and NFPA Life Safety Code.
  • Five years of experience in project management and/or facilities operations in multi-facility systems.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Construction & Renovations - Oversee major construction and renovation projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Ensure designs support efficient and sustainable operations while managing budgets, schedules, and scope.
  • Facilities Operations, Warehousing, & Call Center - Manage furniture and equipment storage areas and related staff. Oversee Facilities call center operations to ensure timely handling of work orders and emergency requests. Participate in the Facilities Support on‑call rotation.
  • Partnerships & Stakeholder Communication - Communicate regularly with leaders and stakeholders impacted by facility activities. Collaborate with Safety, Compliance, and Infection Prevention teams during construction. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong customer service.
  • Documentation & Reporting - Develop equipment and furniture lists, and coordinate pricing, ordering, and delivery. Maintain accurate project documentation and provide status updates and reports to leadership.
  • Budget & Vendor Management - Manage operating and project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial policies. Oversee vendor selection, bids, and service agreements, while monitoring contractor performance for quality, cost, and timelines.
  • Leadership & Talent Development - Lead and support facilities operations teams, assigning work and monitoring performance. Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members. Build engagement and retention, and partner with leadership to identify and implement operational improvements.
