The Facilities Manager role implements, recommends, and manages capital projects.Schedules maintenance work and calculates and manages costs for parts, projects, and vendors. Manages the maintenance workforce. Reviews mechanics, schedules work, and helps develop and coordinate training. Schedules work for the Maintenance Department and oversees budgeting and cost control for facility repairs. Tracks and manages work orders, using them to monitor departmental productivity and expenses. Conducts employee performance reviews, provides coaching, and facilitates ongoing training. Participates in staff meetings and maintains effective communication across departments. Partners with the Safety Supervisor on facility audits, safety inspections, safety training, and overall site security. Coordinates with vendors for facility services including repairs, landscaping, roofing, cleaning, and pest control. Manages supervisors and staff in alignment with Helen of Troy policies, overseeing departmental direction, coordination, and performance. Responsible for hiring, onboarding, scheduling, assigning work, directing daily activities, and evaluating work quality.
