About The Position

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA. With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Overview As Joby Aviation expands operations in Ohio, the Facilities Manager will support day-to-day facilities operations and site readiness across Joby’s Dayton-area facilities. This role focuses on maintaining safe, compliant, and production-ready environments while partnering closely with Facilities Development leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or building management
  • Working knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance programs, and contractor coordination
  • Experience supporting facility operations in industrial, manufacturing, or aviation environments
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements and local AHJ processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and work-order or project tracking tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting airport-based or leased industrial facilities
  • Exposure to light construction or tenant improvement projects
  • Strong organizational skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Interest in growing into a people-management role over time

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations and maintenance of facilities systems, including MEP, infrastructure, and workplace services
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs, service vendors, and facility service contracts
  • Assist with small projects, repairs, and construction activities through plan review and site coordination
  • Support operational readiness efforts in collaboration with Manufacturing, EHS, IT, Security, and Compliance teams
  • Track facilities operating expenses, support budgeting activities, and recommend cost improvements
  • Serve as a site-level point of contact for landlords, airport authorities, and local agencies as needed
