About The Position

The Facilities Management Technician supports the Maintenance and Construction Department at Huck’s Market by assisting with preventative maintenance, equipment/building repairs, new equipment installations, and new store openings across store locations. This role involves safely transporting equipment, supporting Maintenance Technicians with minor and major repairs, and assisting with setup and preparation for new store launches. All work is performed in compliance with company policies and safety standards. The Facilities Management Technician plays an important role in maintaining store operations, supporting expansion efforts, and ensuring overall facility functionality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to safely haul a trailer.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays, particularly in support of new store openings.
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade or technical school education preferred but not required.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on store equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Complete basic equipment and facility repairs under the direction of Maintenance Technicians and Construction Supervisors.
  • Assist with major building and equipment repairs as needed.
  • Assist with the installation of new store equipment at existing and new locations.
  • Support equipment setup, testing, and post-installation adjustments to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assist with facility preparation, equipment installation, and setup for new store openings.
  • Support Construction Supervisors throughout the pre-opening timeline to ensure stores are operational and compliant.
  • Assist with last-minute adjustments, troubleshooting, and punch-list items before and after store openings.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials to and from store locations.
  • Deliver heavy equipment to Huck’s Market stores safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with hauling trailers and transporting materials in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, maintenance protocols, and policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
