About The Position

We are seeking a full time, on-site, Facilities and Maintenance Technician to oversee the year-round maintenance, care, and operational reliability of our retail, commissary, commercial equipment and facilities in Louisville, KY and LaGrange, KY. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of company property as if it were their own. Company-provided housing is included as part of this role. The selected candidate will reside full-time in a company-owned home located on the property. Due to the nature of our operations, this role requires a consistent onsite presence and general availability to respond to urgent facility or safety matters outside of normal business hours, excluding approved vacation or scheduled time away. This is not a typical maintenance job. It is a stewardship role for someone who values property ownership, operational reliability, and long-term care. The right person will view this as a lifestyle role as much as a job.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in a general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or similar role with strong general maintenance skill set across refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and building systems required
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across refrigeration, plumbing, and light electrical systems, including mechanical and building systems required
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic material handling equipment required, experience with fork lift operations preferred
  • Calm, responsive decision-maker in urgent situations
  • Highly self-directed with strong follow-through
  • OSHA knowledge and safe work practices; certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on commercial kitchen and grocery equipment, including ovens, dishwashers, mixers, refrigeration systems (reach ins, walk ins, display cases, ice machines, merchandisers), and related appliances
  • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, light electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and facility systems
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of maintenance shops, storage areas, and mechanical spaces
  • Serve as primary on-site responder for urgent maintenance needs
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and safe work practices, and support internal safety audits, inspections, and corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate specialized vendors when necessary
  • Support seasonal property needs including urgent storm response and snow removal
  • Maintain detailed service logs and inventory records
  • Serve as point of contact for vendor relations for specialized equipment maintenance and repairs
