About The Position

Beaver Toyota of St. Augustine is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our dealership building and large exterior lot. This role is responsible for interior and exterior maintenance, repairs, and general facility support in an active, customer-facing environment. The ideal candidate has strong interior repair skills, working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems, and is comfortable handling a wide range of maintenance tasks independently while working closely with the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a facilities, building maintenance, property maintenance, or similar hands-on role
  • Background working in environments with both interior and exterior responsibilities (commercial buildings, industrial sites, dealerships, warehouses, etc.)
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and making sound repair decisions in real time
  • Experience supporting active business operations where work must be completed safely around employees and customers
  • Familiarity working with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects
  • Strong understanding of safety practices related to tools, ladders, electrical work, and general facility maintenance
  • Reliable, organized, and capable of managing a steady flow of maintenance needs without constant direction

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and repair work throughout the dealership, including showroom, offices, service areas, and exterior lot
  • Must have strong experience and an eye for detail with interior maintenance, including painting, drywall patching, trim repairs, and finish touch-ups.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical work such as replacing ballasts, outlets, switches, light fixtures, and troubleshooting lighting issues inside and across the lot is a must.
  • Perform minor upkeep tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, adjusting doors, hinges, locks, and doorknobs.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, clearing drains, and servicing toilets and sinks
  • Assist with exterior maintenance tasks including dealership signage, light poles, bollards, fencing, gates, and basic concrete or asphalt patching
  • Maintain parking lot and walkways by addressing trip hazards, loose fixtures, damaged curbing, and seasonal issues
  • Assist with mounting, repairing, and maintaining signs, displays, and dealership fixtures
  • Coordinate with and assist facilities manager on specialized repairs or larger projects
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance areas so work can be completed efficiently and safely
