About The Position

Provides general operations and maintenance of the facilities, off-site buildings and grounds of BrightRidge. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Three key areas: Preventative Maintenance, Repairs, Facility Upkeep Performs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment repair and preventative maintenance on a regular basis. Performs plumbing, carpentry work, and electrical repairs as needed, including replacing lamps. Minor sheet rock repair and painting as needed. Inventory and order equipment, tools and supplies as needed. Responsible for daily help tickets as assigned for facility upkeep. This would include documentation to track work orders and managing supplies and equipment. Performs ground maintenance, snow and ice removal, as needed. Perform emergency custodian duties as needed, which could include removing trash from docks, warehouse, canopies, and pole yards . Must be available for after-hours problem repairs, outages and scheduled work. Ability to maintain reliable, predictable, and reasonable Ability to be available for on-call duties. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Escort contractors throughout the facility. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. May be required to attend training as necessary Must maintain a valid driver's license from state of residence. Must be available for after-hours work which would include working a fair share of all necessary overtime. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must possess basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. Must possess mechanical skills necessary to perform maintenance on basic equipment. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read basic electrical, plumbing and architectural schematic drawings. Computer skills to do data entry with maintenance records. Must possess the ability to communicate clearly and receive instructions. Ability to operate machinery such as boom/scissor lift, chainsaw, and forklift. Must be able to climb ladders up to twenty-four (24) feet high to change bulbs or clean fixtures. Must have general knowledge of safety rules. Must have general knowledge of organization's policies and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent physical activity necessary to perform functions described above. Requires constant standing, walking, reaching, handling, vision and depth perception. Must be able to lift up to 48 lbs. Requires frequent reaching and simple grasp for machine control operation. WORKING CONDITIONS: Must work out of doors and in inclement weather to perform cleaning, sweeping, snow removal, trash disposal, etc. May be exposed to dust, cleaning chemicals and paint and other fumes. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experienced in operating a variety of diagnostic equipment and tools, including volt meters and HVAC gauges. One to two years' prior experience in performing related tasks. Vocational training or equivalent required. EPA Certification required.
