About The Position

A Facility Maintenance Professional ensures building functionality, safety, and efficiency by managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Key duties include preventative maintenance, repairing infrastructure, and conducting inspections to reduce downtime.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is essential. Trade school diplomas, vocational training, or associate degrees in HVAC, electrical, or technical fields are highly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a skilled trade is typically required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical repairs, drywall repair and painting, and basic carpentry.
  • Certifications: Valid driver’s license is generally required. Relevant trade certifications (HVAC, EPA, Electrical) are a significant advantage.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift the weight previously assigned and limited by the Safety Department, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass TSA background check.
  • Assignments require comprehensive knowledge of all possible tasks and responsibilities within their technical area.
  • Maintenance techniques related to carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics.
  • Knowledge of the methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in the construction, maintenance, repair and operation of the facilities.
  • ENS system, company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Facility technicians often work in manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environments and may need to be available for 24/7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
  • Must be able to work the shift frequently walking and standing, with lifting, climbing, kneeling. Also, be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Repair: Conducting preventive maintenance and performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying issues with machinery or building systems to minimize downtime.
  • Safety Adherence: Following OSHA safety regulations, reading blueprints, and understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Communication & Technology: Using maintenance software (CMMS) to track and complete tasks, and reporting to management.
  • Maintains and cleans grounds and buildings.
  • Assists with furniture set-up and office assembly/removal.
  • Sets up necessary furniture and items needed for conferences, meetings, and special events.
  • Driving company vehicles for offsite maintenance and parts/supplies runs.
  • Prepare and execute any order assigned by the leaders.
