About The Position

We are looking for a new colleague in our Maintenance Department as a Facilities Specialist at our Automotive Packaging Distribution Center in Garrett, IN. Open to training the right candidate to service our lightweight packaging equipment.What you can look forward to as a Maintenance Tech: Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance activities on time and document in database. Performs routine and ad-hoc project work (replacing damaged racking, changing out packing stations) while maintaining the project log. Assesses and assists in the repair of minor mechanical and electrical repairs (eg. Replacing ballasts and lamps, replacing switches, bearings, tape machines, banders) Perform HVAC maintenance such as replacement of filters, grease bearings, power wash condenser coils, dampers) Purchase MRO items for the plant. Perform industrial wiring and know/follow all OHSA safety regulations (training can be provided). Participate in cross functional team meetings and continuous improvement projects. Follow all work instructions. Follow all health and safety procedures, policies, and practices and attend safety training. Ability to work weekends based on business needs. Must be able to perform all physical requirements related to maintenance activities. Other duties as assigned. Your profile as a Maintenance Tech: High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred. Valid state issued driver’s license. At least 2 years of experience performing maintenance duties. Ability to service tape machines, banders, auto bag and assembly equipment. Safety oriented. Troubleshooting skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Record keeping and documentation skills. Must be able to produce/create solutions to problems. Self-motivated, productive and have a positive attitude. Basic PLC experience is a plus.

Requirements
