About The Position

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and stocking facilities to ensure equipment and work areas are properly supported through adherence to preventative maintenance standards and schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • Attention to safety and detail
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend, and/or kneel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, or noisy environments
  • Ability to work at heights or confined spaces
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Capable of working through problem solving situations for the betterment of the situation.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak, read and understand English.

  • Maintain, clean, stock, and ensure the following equipment and work areas are compliant and supported by following preventative maintenance standards and schedules.
  • Eyewash stations
  • Shower stations
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Emergency lights
  • Lighting throughout the plant
  • Roof filters
  • North and South Alltemp
  • Docks
  • Emergency exits
  • General lubrication tasks
  • Perform other duties as assigned
