About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and general labor tasks to ensure the efficient operation of Hickmans Egg Ranch’s processing equipment and facilities. This role involves assisting with equipment upkeep, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and capable of performing manual labor as required to support facility operations. Requirements

  • Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and read technical information accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and team members.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and attentive to detail in all tasks.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 lbs., and push/pull and reach throughout shifts.
  • Ability to stoop, crouch, and climb over/under equipment as needed to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in various environmental conditions for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing to access equipment and complete maintenance.
  • Comfortable working in environments with noise, dust, and exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Comply with the regulations governing Safety-Sensitive Positions as defined by A.R.S. §23-493 et seq.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on processing equipment to ensure continuous operation.
  • Conduct unskilled labor tasks and manual duties to support facility maintenance.
  • Assist in minimizing equipment downtime by identifying and addressing maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow verbal instructions to carry out maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Repair and maintain conveyor belts and perform oil changes as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate maintenance tasks and report issues.
