About The Position

The Facility Technician performs a variety of routine and skilled tasks involving general maintenance of Good Day Farm's facilities, equipment, and grounds. This role encompasses a wide range of facilities services tasks, including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. The technician may also be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or locksmith.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience with mechanical responsibilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary trade or vocational school preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of formal education preferred

Responsibilities

• Makes routine plumbing repairs, replaces lighting, and makes electrical related repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
• Works independently on routine recurring assignments or assists another worker in performing more complex tasks.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fellow employees.
• Learns and performs assigned tasks quickly and correctly through on-the-job training and learns safety regulations and practices safety precautions.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, machine manuals, and schematic drawings to assist in making plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Comprehends written materials.
• Uses Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety procedures, and appropriate equipment in completing assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
