About The Position

MOR PPM Inc. seeks a facilities maintenance tech in Liberty, SC. Under direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities includes air compressor maintenance and repair, basic HVAC maintenance, electrical installation, basic plumbing systems, and other general maintenance throughout the Continental Automotive plant. Further responsibilities include warehouse automation maintenance and repair, as well as parts washer maintenance. Must be willing to work flexible shifts and be subject to overtime. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required. Must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all customer rules, safety procedures, and policies. Tobacco free facility. A Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform all duties per plant safety guidelines. The key focus of this position is to keep operations running smoothly, perform various preventive maintenance tasks, and carryout special projects deemed as plant goals for the overall plant operation.

Requirements

Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters
Be a team player with a positive attitude
Plumbing: Installation/Repair of PVC piping, clearing drains, repairing leaks
Electrical: Installation/Repair of industrial hardware per National Electrical Code
Repair and maintain air compressors - 8 bar & 200 bar systems.
Ability to work independently
Have a complete set of basic hand tools
Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
Perform work at heights
Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
Must have full range of motion consistent with age
Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
