The ideal candidate will be well-organized, reliable and dependable, able to multi-task, professionally mature, effective team leader, have basic knowledge of all phases of building maintenance to include: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and general carpentry, able to identify and solve problems, ability to work well and communicate with others, have computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft word, Excel, and power point, possess all relevant hand tools, possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, ability to respond to emergencies during weekends and off hours if needed. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Preventive maintenance on: HVAC systems & Hardware Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed. Inspects life/health & safety systems and curb appeal. Responds to plumbing systems and hardware Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required. Assist with electrical systems & hardware Good communication skills, ability to manage a maintenance team and coordinate with external vendors. Manage assigned staff Perform other assigned duties Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience: Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of the building trades. Knowledge of: Methods used in maintenance including basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, grounds keeping, appliance repair, and electrical wiring; standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities; safety practices and procedures related to the building trades; basic math skills. Skill and Ability to: Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools; read blueprints; review and identify projects needed to be serviced by outside contractors; follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain work logs; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments. Superior ability in assessing and fulfilling staff needs Possesses basic hand and power tools. Excel, Word, Outlook experience. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000 annually.
