We are looking for full-time applicants available from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, depending on Club needs, with the typical shift being 7am to 4pm. This role also includes some nights and weekends throughout the year. Some experience in maintenance or facilities work is preferred but we may be willing to train the right candidate. This position does require that you be over the age of 21 with a valid driver license and clean driving record. You will have the opportunity to focus on creating a safe, pleasant space for youth members by: performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting of building systems, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC, such as cleaning waste lines and installing electrical plates, maintaining the appearance of the building, including painting and replacing worn or damaged items, and performing regular custodial rounds of building and grounds on a daily basis. This position is expected to be highly accountable in completion of assigned tasks as the only facilities role at this location. You’ll get on-site support from a dedicated director with Club expertise, as well as additional support on facilities and maintenance needs from a specialized facilities director, but will be expected to work as a somewhat self-contained one-man team. These are some of the additional things you will do as a member of Boys & Girls Club facilities team: Coordinate with maintenance and facilities vendors, as directed. Support clubhouse operational needs, including building furniture and hanging signage. Manage receiving and storage of shipments and supplies. Assist staff on setup and breakdown of special events. Pick up and deliver items, as assigned. Maintain the safety of our children and staff, and ensure an optimal experience for all.
