The Facilities Lead at BDB San Diego is a position that oversees daily operations, vendor management, and maintenance activities while also supporting administrative and coordination tasks to ensure the facility runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local and external governmental entities. Requirements

  • Minimum HS Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years in facilities operations
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in facilities operations, building maintenance, or coordination roles in a Biopharma industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, blueprint interpretation, and vendor management.
  • Experience with SAP, CMMS or other maintenance tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between vendors and stakeholders for activities involving maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems
  • Lead vendor coordination for janitorial, landscaping, pest control, and contracted services
  • Ensure safety compliance with GxP, OSHA, and fire codes; conduct regular building inspections
  • Respond to service requests and emergencies with urgency and professionalism
  • Support office moves, renovations, and equipment installations
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure GxP-compliant documentation
  • Collaborate with EHS, Security, IT, and other teams to support site operations
  • Track budgets and process invoices for facilities-related expenses
  • Develop positive relationships with co-workers, and vendors
  • Ensures all business is conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures, as well as all federal, state and local laws and regulations (OSHA, SDFD, and FDA)
