About The Position

Our Facilities & EHS Technician will ensure that AMC's electronics facility and production environment remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.  This position performs building maintenance, coordinates production-equipment service, and leads environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing site.  This is a hands-on, detail-driven role ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, organizational skills, and a passion for safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or EHS coordination in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong organization and coordination skills, including the ability to track multiple vendors, service schedules, and equipment needs.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and basic environmental compliance.
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude for understanding equipment and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent communication and recordkeeping skills.
  • Comfortable with public speaking/training presentations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills.
  • Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, and or First Aid/CPR preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance management software or CMMS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document routine maintenance on building systems (HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and general infrastructure).
  • Oversee and coordinate preventive maintenance for production equipment, ensuring schedules are followed, service is completed, and spare parts are available.
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to track equipment downtime, repairs, and vendor performance.
  • Manage relationships with service contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain facility documentation — work orders, equipment logs, maintenance schedules, and utility usage.
  • Support small capital improvement projects and facility layout changes.
  • Lead EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Work with all department leaders to identify health-safety workplace risks.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and hazard assessments.
  • Maintain EHS documentation: training records, SDS files, incident reports, and compliance logs.
  • Coordinate and lead safety training programs (PPE, lockout/tagout, forklift, hazard communication, etc).
  • Manage hazardous waste, recycling, and environmental reporting.
  • Support emergency preparedness and maintain facility safety equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, eyewash stations, etc).
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.
