About The Position

Role OverviewSodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Operations Manager 2 to join our team supporting one of our high-profile Energy Sector clients in El Segundo, CA. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience managing complex building systems such as chillers, building automation systems (BAS), fire/life safety, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) infrastructure. Sodexo provides our corporate service partners with a diverse range of integrated facilities management possibilities. What You'll DoLead coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of maintenance services, ensuring adherence to client standards and performance expectationsOversee audit and control systems to ensure compliance with statutory, policy, and contractual obligationsDevelop financial plans for cost control/reduction and ensure achievement of financial goalsProvide leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to promote best practices, training, and staff recognitionBuild and maintain relationships with facility team leaders, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goalsDrive continuous improvement, monitor subcontractor performance, and ensure compliance with SLAs & KPIsWhat We OfferCompensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Requirements

  • a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments
  • a strong technical knowledge knowledge in Building Operations & Maintenance (HVAC/Mechanical, Electrical, and critical systems)
  • training in NFPA 70e, CMMS, OSHA, IFMA/BOMA - Building Operations & Maintenance, Construction, Civil Engineering
  • demonstrated business and financial acumen
  • exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills
  • strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of maintenance services, ensuring adherence to client standards and performance expectations
  • Oversee audit and control systems to ensure compliance with statutory, policy, and contractual obligations
  • Develop financial plans for cost control/reduction and ensure achievement of financial goals
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to promote best practices, training, and staff recognition
  • Build and maintain relationships with facility team leaders, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals
