About The Position

Sodexo is hiring for our Executive level Director Custodial Operations, in this role, our leader will serve as the strategic and operational leader for large‑scale custodial programs across the K–12 ‑education environment. This role requires a visionary operator who can influence senior institutional leadership and boards, elevate service delivery standards, and drive organizational excellence across multiple campuses. You will shape long‑term client partnerships at the C‑suite level while cultivating a high‑performance culture among field leaders and frontline teams. This is an executive role for a leader who thrives in complex environments, understands the unique operational demands of educational facilities, and can inspire teams through both strategic direction and visible, in‑the‑field leadership. This is a potential sale, and contingent offers will be made.

Requirements

  • Extensive leadership experience overseeing custodial operations within K–12 or university environments, with a track record of managing large, multi‑site teams.
  • Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence senior institutional leaders, present strategic recommendations, and build trust at the highest levels.
  • A hands‑on leadership style grounded in visibility, employee engagement, and partnership with frontline teams to drive culture, performance, and retention.
  • Proven success managing complex client relationships, resolving challenges proactively, and expanding service offerings through consultative, value‑driven engagement.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight of custodial operations across multiple education sites, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise‑wide quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to C‑suite clients, influencing decision‑making, securing investment for enhanced sanitation initiatives, and driving long‑term contract growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop field leadership teams while maintaining a strong presence in operations—modeling engagement, accountability, and service excellence alongside frontline staff.
  • Drive operational innovation, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to elevate the client and student experience.
