About The Position

Sodexo Energy and Resource is seeking a Facilities/Engineering Operations Manager 2 to join our team supporting one of our high-profile Energy Sector clients in El Segundo, CA. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience managing complex building systems such as chillers, building automation systems (BAS), fire/life safety, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) infrastructure. Sodexo provides our corporate service partners with a diverse range of integrated facilities management possibilities.

Requirements

  • a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments
  • a strong technical knowledge knowledge in Building Operations & Maintenance (HVAC/Mechanical, Electrical, and critical systems)
  • training in NFPA 70e, CMMS, OSHA, IFMA/BOMA – Building Operations & Maintenance, Construction, Civil Engineering
  • demonstrated business and financial acumen
  • exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills
  • strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination, delivery, and quality assurance of maintenance services, ensuring adherence to client standards and performance expectations
  • Oversee audit and control systems to ensure compliance with statutory, policy, and contractual obligations
  • Develop financial plans for cost control/reduction and ensure achievement of financial goals
  • Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to promote best practices, training, and staff recognition
  • Build and maintain relationships with facility team leaders, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals
  • Drive continuous improvement, monitor subcontractor performance, and ensure compliance with SLAs & KPIs
