About The Position

SodexoMagic is seeking a Facilities Engineering Operations Manager for a group of lab and production buildings in Rahway, NJ! In this pivotal role, you will serve as the main point of contact for all building operations, managing daily activities related to asset and facility upkeep. Your responsibilities will include overseeing ordering, inventory management, and vendor relationships while ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems such as air handlers, HVAC, MEP, and other general building infrastructure. By prioritizing maintenance and operational excellence, you'll ensure optimal performance and reliability of essential building systems. Requirements

  • 5 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
  • Experience as a journeyman level with skills in instrumentation, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and outside contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • CMMS (SAP experience a plus) and Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Reliability centered maintenance and Predictive Maintenance a plus
  • CMMS (SAP experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for building operations, managing systems like air handlers, HVAC, MEP, and general infrastructure.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain operational efficiency in lab and production buildings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in air handlers, HVAC, MEP, and other systems to minimize downtime and maintain performance.
  • Plan and coordinate work orders, ensuring safety protocols and resource allocation for timely completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable facility systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Utilize CMMS to manage asset history, work orders, and preventive maintenance, identifying opportunities for performance improvement.
