This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. The Architectural Associate will assist the lead architect with design and drawing production for various projects. This role is ideal for a degreed architect with the desire and ability to pursue licensure after gaining the required experience to sit for the architectural exam. The successful candidate will support the design process, contribute to the production of architectural drawings, and work collaboratively with the design team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Desire and ability to pursue architectural licensure after gaining the required experience.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced design technologies.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and practices.
  • Previous internship or work experience in an architectural firm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead architect with the design and production of architectural drawings and plans.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Prepare and review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with project standards.
  • Conduct research and provide support for design solutions and concepts.
  • Assist in the preparation of project presentations and documentation.
  • Support the coordination of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, technologies, and advancements to contribute to project innovation.
  • Prepare for and pursue architectural licensure after gaining the required experience.
