This pivotal role is located within our fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment at TSMC WA, offering a dynamic range of technical challenges and opportunities for significant impact. Facilities Life Safety Systems Engineer will be part of a team consisting of other Engineers and Technicians who partner together to best manage system design, maintenance, and improvements (scope of work) in an Industrial Facilities setting. The Systems Engineer prepares plans for systems under their ownership and the scope of work which will affect those systems.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in related field
  • 3+ years of relatable experince
  • Familiarity with programming (C++ or C#, ladder logic, Python, or SQL)
  • Thorough command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and Windows
  • Team player, solution-minded, takes ownership, self-managed.
  • Can manage difficult terrain, stairs, extended periods standing / walking, and can safely lift 35-lb objects and can balance field and desk work.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET-certified in Fire Systems (Preferred)
  • Active in auto mechanics, programming, mechatronics, robotics or construction. (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems including Fire System (fire detectors, suppression equipment, and control systems) and Gas Monitoring System (detection and controls).
  • Propose improvements in system design, component selection, and maintenance plans to optimize system reliability and sustainability.
  • Implement team ideas in terms of construction, configuration, and operation.
  • Responding to system alarms even on nights and weekends to maintain manufacturing reliability.
