The Facilities Electrical Specialist I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing the build of electrical systems including emergency power generation equipment as well as maintaining compliance with electrical codes while adhering to safety regulations and industry guided best work practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of electrical experience required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical distribution systems to include high voltage and low voltage AC and DC systems
  • Some exposure to hazardous chemical and other active chemical ingredients
  • Position requires the ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs unassisted
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, climbing, pulling, lifting
  • Requires the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a pharmaceutical laboratory and manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and modify electrical systems within company facilities by responding promptly to emergency and scheduled work orders
  • Maintain tools and instruments in safe working condition to be used on electrically energized equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and laboratory equipment
  • May work on energized, equipment (when necessary) using OSHA approved safety equipment and guidelines.
  • Install new electrical system components and circuits
  • Works with voltage and current of any level, AC (Typically ≤480VAC) or DC.
  • Record used parts and materials related to electrical systems and order new parts and materials as necessary
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures while ensuring and promoting safe work practices
  • Provide electrical support services for business operations
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on facilities electrical systems, emergency generators, critical spare parts, and automated gates and doors
