About The Position

The Facilities coordinator oversees the daily operations and maintenance of the Manitowoc and Pleasant Prairie laboratory facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. Requirements

  • Experience in facility management or maintenance; laboratory, industrial, or construction environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team coordination, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently across two sites.

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum Years Related Experience: 2-3 Years

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized, clean, a safe working and storage environment; collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure appropriate supply organization and storage.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and cleaning activities for both laboratories.
  • Supervise and ensure proper storage and disposal of slides and blocks according to established storage plans.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support specialized services, maintenance, and facility projects.
  • Monitor and support adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Develop, implement, and track preventive maintenance schedules; respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies, escalating as appropriate.
  • Partner with laboratory staff and leadership to address facility needs, identify improvement opportunities, and perform other duties as assigned.
