About The Position

Facilities Management serves the campus community by working closely with Texas A&M University's service provider, SSC, along with other campus partners. Through these partnerships, Facilities Management supports 27-plus million square feet of campus. Facilities Management is dedicated to ensuring a safe, comfortable and functional built environment to deliver world-class learning, teaching and research. As a Facilities Coordinator II, you will do just that as you assist with the coordination of maintenance and repair related to mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial and landscaping to ensure buildings are comfortable and safe for faculty, staff, students and guests. We need your ability to assist with routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance issues, departmental moves, after-hours emergencies and more. You will work closely with other departments to coordinate renovation and construction projects, building access, space planning and emergency management. You will provide excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills in every aspect of your job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in facilities, building maintenance or facilities construction scheduling and inventory.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain State of Texas class “C” vehicle operator’s license within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • More than 2 years of facility management experience and/or facilities experience in higher education.
  • Two or more years of supervisory/team leadership and communication experience.
  • IFMA or APPA Certification.
  • Familiar knowledge with facility management software, including AggieWorks and AiM.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of maintenance and repair related to mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial and landscaping
  • Assist with routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance issues, departmental moves, after-hours emergencies and more.
  • Coordinate renovation and construction projects, building access, space planning and emergency management.
